Privacy policy

This policy describes the Google Search Console integration in Nishan's private, self-hosted OpenSEO (home) installation. Contact: xenrotechweb@gmail.com.

Information accessed

With your approval, the app receives your Google account identifier, email address and basic profile information, along with an OAuth grant for read-only Search Console access. It can list properties available to that account and retrieve performance data for a selected property, including clicks, impressions, position, queries and pages.

Purpose and use

Google data is used to connect the selected website, display its Search Console performance, and support the operator's SEO analysis. This integration does not request permission to edit Search Console properties or website content. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models.

Storage and access

OpenSEO runs on the operator's home-lab server. Stored Google OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using the installation's encryption secret. Dashboard access is restricted with Cloudflare Access. The operator controls the server, application data and authorised users.

Services involved

Google processes the OAuth sign-in and Search Console API requests. Cloudflare provides the protected tunnel and access gateway for the dashboard. These public information pages are hosted separately using Sites infrastructure. Hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and technical logs. This information site does not request a Google connection or display Search Console data.

Retention, revocation and deletion

Connection information is kept while needed to maintain the integration. Revoke OpenSEO's Google access in your Google Account's third-party connections settings to stop future API access. Revocation does not itself erase data already stored locally. Contact the operator to disconnect an account, remove its locally stored tokens and data, or ask about retained backups.

Google API Limited Use

OpenSEO (home)'s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
